Coxwold, St Michael & All Angels

Worship at St Michael's

Coxwold is famous for being the place where Laurence Sterne, the writer of Tristram Shandy, was curate. The church is a peaceful place to spend some quiet time, whether drinking in the atmosphere, praying or admiring the architecture.

You are very welcome to join us for worship. Our usual service pattern is:

Every second Sunday of the month at:
9.00am - Morning Prayer

Every fourth Sunday of the month at:
9.00am - Holy Communion

If you are coming to a service, it is best to check here that the service is happening as usual,
as times and dates do occasionally change.

We are part of a group of seven churches, but have the strongest links with Carlton Husthwaite, Wass and Husthwaite so, if there is no service at Coxwold, you will find most of the congregation at one of our other churches.

Safeguarding: Coxwold Parish takes its duty and obligation to protect all extremely seriously. We have adopted the national Church of England's robust procedures and guidelines. You can find out more about the national policies and procedures at
