Husthwaite, St Nicholas

Worship at St Nicholas

You will find Husthwaite sign-posted off the A19 between Easingwold and Thirsk.  It looks like a sleepy village, but there is an active church, chapel, school and village hall.  The ancient church, on the junction of High Street, Low Street and the Nookin, is a peaceful place to spend some quiet time, whether drinking in the atmosphere, praying or admiring the architecture.  The church is open during the day, so do drop in and enjoy it.  How many wooden mice can you spot?

You are also very welcome to join us for worship.

Our usual service pattern is:

Every second Sunday of the month at:
10.30am - Holy Communion

Every third Sunday of the month at:
9.00am - Holy Communion or Morning Prayer

Every fourth Sunday of the month at:
10.30am - Worship for all

In some months there is also a service of alternative worship at 6.30pm on the first Sunday. If you are coming to a service, it is best to check here that the service is happening as usual, as times and dates do occasionally change.

We are part of a group of seven churches, but have the strongest links with Carlton Husthwaite, Wass and Coxwold so, if there is no service at Husthwaite, you will find most of the congregation at one of our other churches.

We have strong links with Husthwaite CE School and Nursery.
