There are hundreds of people involved in running our church activities and services across the deanery. Most of these people are volunteers and the Church could not continue without them. Whether they are part of the prayer team, the flower rota, the choir or whatever else, all are important and valued .

Clergy - There is a small team of clergy (vicars) who each work in their own group of churches.

Churchwardens - each parish appoints two churchwardens, who work with the clergy and bishop to lead the Church community

PCC - Each parish has a parochial church council that makes the decisions on what happens in and out of Church. Some smaller churches have district church councils (DCCs) instead.

Deanery Synod - each church sends representatives to the synod, which meets a few times a year to plan joint activities and encourage one another in our work of spreading the good news of Jesus.
